NCVT
The Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) was introduced by Govt. of India to ensure a steady flow of skilled workers in different trades for different industries. The administration is under The Director General of Employment and Training (DGE & T) with Ministry of Labour functioning as the central agency. The National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) was set up in 1956 with a view to ensure and maintain uniformity in the standards of training all over the country.
After successfully completing I.T.I training, All India Trade Test (AITT) examination will be conducted by NCVT and the National Trade Certificate will be awarded to the trainees who qualify for the test. The National Council is chaired by Minister of Labour, representing Central and State Govt. Department of Employers and Workers Organisations, AICTE, All India Women Organisation etc. It is essential for all ITIs to get affiliated to NCVT in each trades before admitting the trainees.
